Speaking of Jackpine(r)s of any flavor, can anyone tell me the REAL significance of this motorcycle? And I am not referring to the man whose name is on the tank. I rode one many moons ago, will never forget it.
I dunno about that one jensenman, nice looking bike though, looks a little brite for the color scheme though, although it kinda reminds me of the spoon honda color scheme.
Jack Penton is the guy who brought that to America, hence the 'Penton' name on the tank. The 175 was called the 'Jackpiner' after the Jackpine Enduro. It's notable because it was the first KTM sold on these shores (see the engine side case?). The bikes were sold as Pentons for a few years, then KTM started bringing them in under their own banner. So this was KTM's 'toehold' bike in the US market.
