I'm just trying to see what all is involved, and I know that state to state it is different, but just trying to figure out if it's as easy as a car to retitle.

Problem is I keep finding things like THIS

on a website. My buddy has a junk yard, and I can bid through him on cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc.

This example, is going for a good amount of money thus far, a 750cc suzuki sound literally yesterday with the same problem for $250.

So I could get a deal on a used bike that needs new forks or maybe just a running motor for a go kart or something.

I bought a salvage Ducati Monster from a online auction (through a friends shop). I fixed it up (didn't need too many new parts) and had it inspected at the Ohio BMV. It has a previous salvage on the title. I remember is being more painless then I was expecting. I kept all receipts and before pictures and no one ever asked to see them. It did help with selling the bike later on, as the new owner could see why it was salvaged.

All in all, I bought a bike, shipped it from Texas to Ohio, fixed it and rode it for a summer and sold it the next spring for a $1500 profit.

I have no idea why I do not do that more.

I'm interested in doing just this. Does anyone have suggestions on how to find these wrecked bikes though? It seems that my google searches lead to wrecks either beyond salvage or priced very high.
