Anybody have any experience with these? Seems like a very simple efficient scoot for commuting.

No direct experience with them, other than checking one out at a dealer, but I used to have an Elite 250, which had the same drivetrain, with only few minor differences.

They are incredibly reliable if taken care of, and mechanically pretty simple. Lots of storage and a comfy seat. If your commute puts you on high speed interstates, it may not be the best choice. They can do 70 MPH on level ground, but when you get up near that speed, their acceleration is slow. Don't expect to make many performance upgrades. There are good options of clutches and variators, but not a lot else. An upgraded head is available, along with a big bore kit, but it seems like people end up going to a lot of effort to squeeze out only a little more power.

I've been watching one on Craigslist locally, and have thought about checking it out, but another deal fell into my lap in the last few days.

Rolling couches.

Maintained, they last forever.

I believe they had issues with muffler/ exhaust pipes cracking due to vibrations and solid mounting.

I cant say much bad about them. Almost pulled the trigger on two. seems like every years i come so so close to buying one.

Quirky looking but as dependable as the sun. Small wheels are not the best, and plastics are starting to get harder to find in good condition. I recently got my hands on a Yamaha Morphous, a very similar 250, but the 400 from the Majesty is a bolt in, plug and play swap. The aftermarket is seriously lacking for both of these scooters, but for getting from here to there, they do it extremely well and comfortably.
