Anyone? Got a 2 cylinder motoplat.. Blue/Black wBlue/wBlack wires coming out. I only have 1 coil at the moment. Installed Stator/center thing. Kick bike and get voltage out on both the trigger and other one. Attach to coil - no spark.
Am I missing anything? I ran a ground wire from motoplat to coil still no spark? Coils are so pricy I want to make sure I got everything correct before I look at buying new ones (NOS coils are around 200 each, 80+ for used ebay ones.)

Motoplats suck but you allready know that...They break if you look at them wrong and common testing can frie the coils.
There are two guys i know off that repair them on is in Tx the other in MI.

PVL rock. Most people toss motoplats on Fle-bay to buy PVL's .
Penton imports used to bring in motoplat they switched to PVL long ago.

I have never had an issue with PVL's when I raced RD's... just happened to have some motoplats around and was going to give them a try - but I guess I should stick with what I know..
Motoplat? No direct experience, just have not heard THAT name in quite a while...
On my many, many street RDs I've used, ummm..."points".
points work till you get spinning a little to fast..
