.. on a Harley.
Yes, a buddy and I rode from Milwaukee to the TN/NC line just to ride an 11 mile stretch of road. Once. We also rode the Cherohala Skyway, a ~40 mile highway that got up to a mile high.
I'll go back, again, to ride the Dragon more. We took too long to get there and had to start heading home early.

Way to go! Of course you know there are a BUNCH more roads down there.
Can't wait to go back myself...
Awesome. Just don't make the hero shot on Killboy.com.

No kidding! We stayed at a place that was about 20 miles away from Deal' Gap. That meant riding Hwy 28, know as Hellbender, to get there. Hell, the road from 28 to the resort was a blast, too. I wish we had more time to explore the area, but my buddy had family commitments to get back to.

Nope, not me; I took it mellow. Me
Everybody talks about the Dragon, but there are many more good roads in the area that are a lot less travelled.

Fo' Sho'! We rode a few of them in the short time we were there. Next time, I'll have more time to ride more of them.
The Skyway scares the everliving E36 M3 out of me.
Great area to ride. I dig the Cherohola and the other less travelled roads. What a great place. Also, if you're near it your should hit up the Biltmore Estate.

If you go to the Biltmore House, take the tour that goes behind the scenes.
