A turbocharged first gen zx10r!!!! (NMNA, as the blue Muzzy's I know will never be for sale again)
This guy started building it and actually has the Muzzy's manifold/plenum/etc......on a stock engine, this should make an easy 250whp. Not a bad way to spend under $5k IMHO.

I always wanted to turbo an 04 and up R1, this seems like a really good price for the kit and bike.

It still needs a fairly pricy ecu and some other things, but its a good price for the bike and everything.
My friend has one of the Muzzy's factory turbo 10's.....and this is about a built engine, AMS1000, and a few other parts away from being able to put out north of 500hp.
I was hoping it would be a late 80s ZX-10. I had a 92 ZX-11 and it was a hoot. I can only imagine it with 250+ horsepower.

I partook in a roll on against my friends Muzzy's(waste gate spring only, so ~250hp) and another friends 230hp turbo gsxr750.......and even being on my zx10.....it sucks to feel extremely slow.

I know that feeling when I got my first 1k I felt all high and mighty, then you run into heavily modded bikes with boost and you learn your place LOL, I had a turbo R6 give me a run for my money and I'm 145 at the back tire, he seemed to have major problems planting the power

That reminds me, I need to dyno mine. The PO claimed it made 150 with a dead bird in the airbox
Plus I might be tempted around tax time to find the full Akrapovic exhaust I want and a PCIIII should be able to get 5-10hp more from those. Either way, the rule is the same.....don't play with boosted bikes.
Ive got full exhaust and 155 whp is my hp ceiling on stock cams in the right air, But I can say hitting my tq peak of 80 footpounds at 7k is hoon city. There is a guy that reprograms the ECU to turn off torque managment... but its 800.00 smackers I just don't want to blow ATM. I have never run a 10R, but the new CBR1ks and crossplane R1's get left for dead at the stoplight 500

That seems like a great deal.

Probably pretty close to be honest.....and IIRC, the engine in yours should be a direct descendant or slightly modified example of mine.
Long overdue update, my ‘04 SWB bike belted down 151whp with just an arrow slip on and BMC filter hot off the road with no ethanol 90 octane in 90° heat. She did put down 171whp after I did a PC3 + ignition controller & a quick shifter on 93 octane with slightly cooler conditions. Unfortunately, that ‘04 is no longer with me as I crashed her in ‘15.
I also bought the bike which would never be for sale again, being the blue Muzzy vin# s3 show bike. I have had her now since 2014 and have loved every minute of that bike’s absolutely brutal acceleration. The statement that she makes power is an understatement, I haven’t seen a clean run on 16lbs without wheelspin.
A friend of mine had been following one of the other Muzzy s3 kitted bikes being resurrected and had linked this post to me. Reading this throwback had me feeling nostalgic of the days I had the time to freely spend chatting with everyone, I hope you all enjoy this long overdue update.
