The local Indian dealer has a 2011 Harley XR1200x. I test rode it and I am fully in love. The spousal unit is going to be pissed.

What happened to your lack luster love for your current sportster? Isn't there something else that might interest you?

Sure, there are lot's o things I want. This is everything I want to do to mine in a conveniently pre assembled package. I really, really like the way this thing rides.

I'm by no means a H-D kinda guy, but I must say, that 1200 Sporty is nice! I'd ride it till all my teeth shook out!

I would say congratulations to HD they have brought back an exhaust setup similar to the Honda Magna of the 80s...

This is the only Harley I'd want to ride. Get eeet. It's the only Sportster that's somewhat sporty; they're pretty different from the normal Sportsters. There are also some cheap upgrades available.

I think I told someone to get one of these when he listed the things he wanted to do to his Sportster....

I've never ridden one, but my dad (a former flat-tracker who now spends his winters living just off the tail of the dragon) says that that is the only HD that he has ever ridden that he liked. He said that it handled well, had good acceleration and great brakes. I want one bad. Wheelies and stoppies are, apparently, no problem on one of those.

Yeah, I hate the exhaust. A simple two into one would be much preferred.

They're kinda rare, only around 500 sold in 2011 and I believe a little less than that in 2012.

But damn it was nice.

I'm totally with you for half that sentence ... then the choice part makes me look at all the options and say "maybe... maybe not" but I'm still all for ditching the Sportster.
