I just want to show off a little.
Stock colors. Teal and silver.
Bags aren't on it because I replaced the straight pipes with stock mufflers. And if the new tire comes in time, that will get replaced this weekend as well.
That things seems to be saying (to me at least)
"Hey Pinch, Sturgis is only 6 states away. Let's take a few days and meander on out there."
Hmmf (with the appropriate Harley sneer of derision).
If "old man bike" means big and powerful and comfortable, I'm good with that!
My friends say I have to give up my goofy crocs now though. It was ok while I rode Hondas, but not a Harley. Can't find any cute Harley Jibbitz for them either.
I tried this as proof that it's ok, but they said it's a no-go.
And yes, the bike calls for long meandering rides.
Riding a Road King I fell completely head over heels in love with them. Like I never have for any other bike before. It's like it was built, just for me.

Thank you.

Man, that's great. I know riders of different bike types like to bad mouth each other but it's just show. "Whatever you ride, as long as you ride." I love that you found a bike you love.
Oops! Do people not know the banter we toss back and forth in jest?
'Sides...
I know what lurks in the saddle bags of you vstrom riders....
It's understandable. After all
I got to ride My uncle (Captain Fubar)'s Road King through Wyoming-LOVED IT. Perfect bike for the terrain. Someday, but gotta Ducati first. Nice Bike>
It's an 04. I'm hoping to finish up with the things it needs and get it legal and on the road next month.
I went with both forgiveness and permission. It went kinda weird. She didn't really bat an eye at the notion, and thinks its very pretty. Promptly went out and bought several pairs of biker boots and a leather jacket.
She insists she's not going to ride with me, and isn't interested. But she seems to be enjoying playing the part of biker and having a Harley in the house.

Enjoy your new sex life. The women will never admit it to us, but they dig that whole H-D, Bad Boy vibe. I'm hoping when I finally get my Bonneville it will be close enough to generate some Steve McQueen type lust in my wife. The V-Strom doesn't seem to do it, and the KLR actually had the opposite effect.

Oh my, yes. If I'd have known it would have had this effect on her, I'd have gotten one long ago!
Btw, I found an important picture of Brando from The Wild Ones. They trimmed off part of the original image....
