What's a "bagger"?

Much like the "What's a "bobber"?" thread, I'm wondering what you guys think of and know about these. I'm not into bikes, but after watching some of the bike builds it looks like -to me at least- these things are someone's attempt at getting back to riding Big Wheels. IF my understanding of "bagger" is correct. What does that big wheel do for handling or is it only a look?

(...and I don't mean to belittle anyone's appreciation of these. About the only bikes I care for are the bobber-types and that bike Evan had for sale a few years ago...).

A bagger is based on the current style FLT chassis (Electraglide, RoadKing, Tourglide).

It is a stretched version of the FXR design chassis (or the FXR is a short version of the FLT).

Rubber mounted motor. With 3 mounts (Unlike the Dyna (FXD) 2 mount system).

The Bagger:

On Canada, they call them "Deckers."

I call anything with hard saddlebags and no top box a bagger...but the Harley is what coined the term. The look is long and low.

It makes your bar-hopper a bit more functional.

They're still ugly, no matter what you call them.

Generically, a cruising bike equipped with saddle bags.

The gigantic hoop front wheel is merely a penis extension. It does nothing for handling or ride quality, but harm.

This and this alone is all that is required to meet the term "Bagger" Brand doesn't matter, looks don't matter, as long as it is a cruiser style bike with saddle bags it is a Bagger.

Pinch, I actually offended someone on the west side of Indy with one of those big wheel POS's.....several others in the group were swooning over it and my response was, "So, when are you getting a trike kit and a FisherPrice repaint?"

The definition I know is somebody so ugly you need to cover their head with a bag to ride them...looks like that definition fits here too.
