I was removing my engine from the running stand I made up and wanted to get the coolant level down far enough that it wouldn't leak all over the floor without pulling the block drain plugs. I disconnected the upper heater hose from where I had it connected to the radiator. So it is still connected to the intake(SBC engine) then after draining the radiator I used my air compressor to blow air into the heater hose and was able to drain out around another 1/2 gallon and had no drips when I disconnected the rest of the system.
