Waiting on AAA  have a hotel room booked for the night and a U-Haul scheduled for tomorrow.  

AAA can’t find the driver. 

Should be right in Madison then no?

And what do you mean threw the crank pulley? Like the pulley came off the crank or like the crank pulley belt evaporated because the water pump siezed?

Also, stay safe on the side of the highway. That always gives me the heebie jeebies.

Pulley is laying on under tray.  I’m unsure if the water pump seized and threw pulley. 

AAA is worthless.

Still on side of road. Trooper here now. He’s been cool. U-Haul booked for tomorrow.  Hope car runs long enough to get it on trailer.   Ohh what a day. 

4 way flashers not working so hot I’m going to try and buy a jump box or another battery at Walmart tomorrow to get it to run onto the trailer.   Should be an interesting time. 

Finally at hotel. Bits of bolts sticking out of crank snout.  At least two pulleys in the undertray. Defiantly puked some fluid.  I hope the motor isn’t toast.

I’m being told U-Haul has no truck available today within two hundred miles. 

That seems crazy.

Any rental car places nearby?  I see lots of pickups on the rental lots nowadays.

I’m stuck in Tomah Wisconsin. Will try calling the local ushaul places when they open in a few. 

Damn. When I towed the challenge Saab home in 2017 I had to get a uhaul box truck and tow dolly because the pickup trucks are not available for one way trips.

There should also be way more box trucks than pickups in their system.

You might be close to ckosacranoid/Jason. I think he lives outside Madison. Haven't seen him on the forum much lately, but he may be able to help out

I think I got a truck and trailer. Waiting on ride to u haul place. 

This is a really terrible feeling right now. So bummed about this. Crossing fingers that you get home soon with the car, and that the engine isn't toast. 

So, what V8 are you planning on swapping into it? Or a K20?
