I did a trip similar route to this but out south, home north Sept. 1981 in a SAAB Sonett. My most memorable part was watching the sun rise over the rim at Crater Lake. The campground was full to overflowing, but I was the only person to get up before sunrise to watch it. I have some as yet unscanned photos which do not do total justice to the scene. Traveling solo it was the best cruiser ever, 32 MPG @75 MPH with a 15 gallon tank....

Have always thought the Sonetts were cool, that sounds incredible!
The Cadillac is for sale, we're hoping to find a good home for it since it served us so well.
