Tired of Cars and Coffee. Any vintage sportscar rallies or tours around the DFW area?

I've been looking longingly at pics of the California Melee and Snowball Rally for years.  Is there anything like this around Texas, Oklahoma or Arkansas?  Something that doesn't cost five hundred million dollars to enter? Something that doesn't require you to have a pre 1958 car that has actually leaked oil on the Nurburgring? Something where I can enjoy a cold microbrew at the end of the day instead of sipping Cheval Blanc 1947 with my pinky sticking out? More TR4, 240Z and 914 than XKSS, Testarossa and Gullwing? 

Heck, is there anyone in the area who wants to meet up for some back roads exploring? I've been to every Cars and Coffee event within 100 miles, and while I've seen some cool sports and GT cars (among the infinite legions of lowered C-10s), nobody seems to want to drive them...

Obviously, it's more race car stuff, but it's a start.
