Anyone build any additions to their open trailer for comfort/convenience? I recently built a shade fly that will not have the same wind issues as popups at the track, with plans to add a rain fly and a hammock stand or 2, all dropping into stakepocket holes
My favorite that I did was a spare tire mount. Which was actually a false axle about that mounted a complete spare hub (bearings, seals, nut, washer, brake drum). It guarantees you have parts if you wind up broken down in the middle of nowhere (which has happened to me)
Second is a 2-1/2" square tube AKA receiver hitch in a nice spot for working. Then I made a vise mount to the 2" square tube that slips into it. Instant vise mounted to something that'll take some leverage. Be it your truck or the location on the trailer
I Like the idea above , I would also consider a receiver hitch in the back to put on a bike rack , or the vise mount or another trailer for a short pull ......
Lots of people will mount a trailer drawbar mount on the front of the trailer for a winch. I've been in a situation where the car had to be winched out of it's location from the side before it could be loaded.
