Getting the Body Straight

Tom Prescott looks over our gaps before we really get into the fiberglass work that this car needs.

Before any fiberglass work could begin we needed to get the body straight on the frame and bolted down. Then the hood, doors and deck lid panel gaps had to be correct.

When new, most fiberglass cars were not designed and put together with perfect panel gaps in mind. But this would not fly at the Amelia Island Concours. While we are not fans of over-restoration, getting the gaps right makes for a much nicer car. And that’s our highest priority.
