Our Lotus Elan’s First Concours Award

Sure, the car wasn't able to dismount the trailer, but we enjoyed showing off our find.

Okay, so we didn’t get the car restored that quickly. But on our way to Florida, we needed to stop at an event supported by Grassroots Motorsports (our sister publication). The event in question turned out to be a pretty good fit four our rotting Elan: Concours d’LeMons in Plymouth, Michigan. It was also part of the Concours of America weekend on July 25.

Half-jokingly, we parked the car right in the British car section and told everyone we were ready for an award. But since the Detroit area is more of an American car region, and there was very little competition, we won our first concours award.

Wow, epic win for a car that is barely even there!

Did they award you 3/4 of the trophy?
