Our Mercedes-Benz 230 S finished up our 1000-mile Orange Blossom Tour with virtually no problems. We used one quart of oil on the whole trip and the only problem we had was a fuel smell when we filled the fuel tank to the very top. We will look over the filling and venting system next week to see what caused this.
We are very pleased with not only how well this tour went, but how well our Mercedes performed. While not the fastest car we have ever taken on a classic car rally, it is the most comfortable. It left us with no aches and pains. This has proven to be a stunning finish to a fairly inexpensive and easy restoration.
