At the Mini Mania anniversary party there were tons of classic Minis to look at and plenty of Mini experts to get ideas from.
There were lots of new MINIs in attendance as well.
Recently we were asked to attend the 40th anniversary party for Mini Mania as the master of ceremonies for their Mini tech seminar.
Not only was this a lot of fun, but we learned a lot about the Mini Cooper S we are restoring. Spending all that time looking at classic Minis and talking to all the experts on hand taught us a ton about how to properly restore our car.
We learned everything from proper color choices to how window hardware varied on different models. We also learned that our side window locks had been changed along the way and we would need to change them back to the correct style if we were going to have an accurate restoration.
