The crack doesn't look so bad in wide angle pictures but
Up close it is really ugly
New dash looks terrific. Expensive at $500 but looks like new
Since buying our Fiat spider we have hated looking at the crack in its dash. The all original interior is really nice except for the ugly crack in the center of the dash. Over time most Fiats will do this and replacing it is a bit of a nightmare job involving troubleshooting decades old wiring and switches. We instead took it to Autosprint imports for them to tackle the 8 hour job. At the same time we also converted the car from points to an electronic ignition. The new dash looks terrific and thanks to the electronic ignition cold starts on the car are now effortless.
