Rust Prevention for Our 2002

The wheel wells and any other exposed metal sections were painted with Eastwood's rust-preventative paint.

After we weld the nose back on, we can turn our attention to smoothing out the bodywork with a light coat of filler.

With the majority of our rust repair completed on our BMW 2002tii’s unibody, we turned our attention to keeping rust at bay in the future. We treated the repaired sections, welds and wheel wells with a coat of Eastwood’s Rust Encapsulator paint. We’re now ready to install the nose and front fenders.

Yes, it's going to get suspension, differential and engine upgrades once the cosmetic restoration is done.

Sorry i wasn't being clear. Are you retaining the kugelfischer system? If you are planning engine upgrades and keeping the KF how do you plan on tuning the car.

Ah, yes, keeping the KFisch. Engine will be rebuilt to mostly stock specs--adding a good exhaust/header, lightened flywheel, etc.
