Shiny Bits for our BMW 2002tii

With each session in the garage, the car is looking more and more complete.

We customized the bumpers, then had them rechromed by Graves Plating.

A new 2002tii badge and rechromed taillight bezels really stand out against the Taiga green.

The interior is slowly coming together. Next up: headliner.

We’ve gotten everything pretty much where it belongs and are ready to start putting in the headliner. The glass will go in after that.

We made some progress on our 2002 over the weekend.

First, we bolted on some freshly rechromed bumpers. The experts at Graves Platingreplated them, and they look amazing. We customized the bumpers to fit the flared fenders, then filled the trim holes to do away with the heavy (and a little ugly) rubber strips that the factory added to the later version of the “small” bumpers.

We also continued our work on the electrical wiring. We hung the new dash pad in the car and fed the wires into their proper places. We’ve gotten everything pretty much where it belongs and are ready to start putting in the headliner. The glass will go in after that.
