Sweet is it available for infield tours of the Rolex ?
The car is now all one color—Chamonix White.
There were 10 other 2002s at our little get-together in a Chick-fil-A parking lot. Ours wasn't the scruffiest—but that was a close call. We've got plenty of work to do.
We started off our 2002tii project with a little cleaning and a quickie spray job for our mismatched fenders. Call us vain, but we really couldn’t stand seeing primer on the car when a can of Chamonix paint could be mixed up for under $30. If nothing else, it has made the car look a little better (and our attitudes a little more positive) as we get started on this major overhaul.
We resprayed the nose and the fender of the 2002tii on Saturday afternoon, then jumped in for a 50-mile evening drive to Orlando. We met up with some other vintage BMW owners to shoot the breeze. The car made it to the event and back with nary a hitch, returning 21 mpg on the jaunt.
