On the motorsports side, the PCA offers its own autocross, road racing and track day programs.
We just got our renewal notice for our Porsche Club of America membership, and we’ll be honest: We don’t hesitate to send in payment. Over the years the club has simply never failed to deliver, and our local Florida area excels. We can choose events hosted by several strong regions: Space Coast Region, Florida Citrus Region and Florida Crown Region.
On the motorsports side, the PCA offers its own autocross, road racing and track day programs. Our local autocross program tends to focus on the winter months since, to be honest, it gets toasty down here in the summer. The race and driver ed programs visit all of our area tracks including Daytona, Sebring and Roebling.
Then there’s the social programs, and while a wine tasting evening might lead to cries of “that’s not Grassroots,” it’s nice having Mrs. Editor look forward to a car-related event. Our local Citrus Region does a chili and beer tasting evening that is pretty tasty, while we also do regular shop tours.
The PCA has been growing, too. Last time we checked, membership had topped 106,000.
