Sea Trials for the Porsche

We made only one unscheduled stop during our initial drive: gotta grab a photo of the moment.

And since our friend Randy did much of the heavy lifting during this rebuild, of course he piloted the car during its sea trials. Thanks, Randy.

How’d it go? Quietly. Nicely. No drama. No smoke.

Last day in the garage: We secured those last few bits, checked the pressure of our tires, and adjusted the idle—it was a little high, but there’s ways to adjust it. We also tightened the fan belt.

Time for a drive.

How’d it go? Quietly. Nicely. No drama. No smoke. The engine is so smooth.

Don’t worry, there’s still a few more tweaks left to do. We’re not ready to close the books on this one just yet.

And of course we’ll detail the entire project in the magazine. You’re all subscribers, right? If not, we always offer a free sample.
