The Engine Has Landed

Check it out: There's an engine inside our Porsche. What's left? Connecting some stuff. (And what is that hiding in the background?)

Eventually we'll replace that stock exhaust system.

A lift, modified transmission jack, and a friend with a bit of experience made it a rather straightforward exercise—well, of course the last engine mount needed a bit of persuading.

Finally, finally, finally, we slipped the rebuilt engine back into our 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera. A lift, modified transmission jack, and a friend with a bit of experience made it a rather straightforward exercise—well, of course the last engine mount needed a bit of persuading.

Now we can start attaching things: throttle control, clutch cable, heater ducts, fuel line, oil hoses, axle shafts, electrical connections and more.
