Nice Spider, Duane!
Pininfarina 124 Spider Europa. That’s the ‘official’ name of the car, essentially it’s just an FI Fiat Spider with minor refinements. It is interesting because 1983 was the first year that Pininfarina took over Spider production from Fiat, as well as the distribution network here in America. Two years later, it was over. The Cadillac Allante contract was in hand, so they pulled the plug on Spider production and starting assembling Allantes on the exact same line in the factory, which happened to be right beside the Alfa Spider assembly line, but the Alfa line continued several more years. This car is all original, all stock, engine was rebuilt crank-up last year and new new heads installed it, other than that, nothing is changed. It’s a driver and I drive it.
