Started as a 1992 Mazda Miata. Barely any of the donor is left. I used the subframes and steering assembly from the donor car. NB sport brakes and brake booster, built NB 5 speed trans by Jo Racing, Mazda speed torsen II differential and axles. I built a complete tube chassis from scratch designed to hold a stock Miata windshield and the Miata subframes. Extended the wheelbase by 9” to allow clearance for the ecotec engine swap with the stock oil pan. Started with an LE5 2.4 ecotec engine, used an LEA block, 88.5mm 9.5:1 forged pistons and forged rods, balance shaft delete, Saab 9-3 intake and fuel rail, DW200 fuel pump and 60# injectors, ZZP stainless header, Borg Warner s257-sxe turbo, Tial wastegate and BOV, standalone wire harness with stock E67 ECU, and probably a lot in missing. I’m running 12LBS of boost at the moment and all that is left is to have it tuned.
