Land Rover IIa 88" Station Wagon

Back before they put the Sport in SUV, there was the Land Rover. Basil - that’s him in the picture - is a 1967 that started life as a diamond exploration truck in northern Ontario. I pulled him out of a barn where he’d hibernated for a decade or so, and gave him a new frame and wiring harness. Now he explores Colorado and Utah. Not quickly, but with great determination and pluck.

Looks good! Aren't you afraid of the body rusting with no paint? ;) That is how mine looked before I got ship fitters disease and ended up changing just about everything.

The body's aluminum, so rust isn't a problem of course. The paint's been that way for a long time... All of the steel parts of the body are painted with POR-15 underneath the primer or (in the case of the interior) shiny top coat.
