The car was purchased on BAT in 2019 and updated with new electronics, brakes , close ratio gearbox, and other safety enhancements. It has been raced at Watkins Glen and Lime Rock many times in the past 12 years. It did time attack runs with GRIDLIFE Track Battle last summer at Lime Rock and we will plan to do the GRIDLIFE events in 2023 at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. Larry Chen did a video interview with my son and me at Lime Rock which is posted on his UTube channel under the title BMW CSL TRACK DAY HERO. Our BMW CSL was the only vintage race car on the track and the sound of the unmuffled M88 engine was unique. The two piece engine head was totally rebuilt after the event by VAC Motorsports and the car should be perfect for the next race season.
