1980 Triumph TR8

I had long wanted a TR8. I bought this one a couple of years ago after reading “The Last Waltz” in Classic Motorsports. I figured that the demand was bound to go up, and I had better act soon. It’s mostly original, except for a couple suspension mods and a little carb tweaking by the previous owner, a one-time TR8 racer. A little rough around the edges, it’s basically pretty sound. It performs well, has been reliable so far, and is comfortable enough for longer trips. For the time being I’m keeping it in Oregon to drive on family visits and to participate in events like the Portland All British Field Meet.

Thanks David. It's Poseidon Green. I'm really happy with this car so far.

Yes, I also like the color, and as Peter Egan would say "another wonderfull shade of BRG" The Portland All British Field Meet takes place in September?

Mark, Before I bought the TR8, I had planned to paint my MGA BRG. I'm rethinking now whether I need 2 green cars. Yes, the Portland ABFM is Labor Day weekend, September 2-5. Last year we had over 20 Wedges. What's in your garage? Ken

With pop-up headlights like the TR8? The Celica All-Trac looks like it would be a great Alaska sports car.
