Newly painted and an interior very soon. No mods, daily driver at 34 mpg all around. 265,000 miles, 2nd owner if I don’t count former girlfriend who used braille method of parking. Update February 2019. Just passed 330,000 miles.

It's great to see that these cars are being used so often. These cars are fabulous to drive and 265,000 is awesome. I hope to put that many on mine once it is completed. Great job!

The X is so at home being driven to it's limits. It's a chassis and drive train that is designed, begs and needs to be drive hard all the time to appreciate and enjoy what this car offers. Best of all, if the X is properly cared for and maintained with proper parts, it very reliable. It's capable of getting near 40 mpg while delivering even more fun per gallon of fuel. And, if the owner chooses, the X can be made into a under 2000 lb, 300+ Bhp screamer with not too much difficulty. This chassis IS that good. Sad to see few car folks recognize it's potential and the designs historical significance in the world of automotive design.

I had one of these in the 80's. Some drunk hit it at 3 o'clock in the morning and totalled it. Man it handled well. Mine looked the same...bright yellow.
