Buying a bumpsteer gauge can easily set you back a few hundred bucks. Don’t want to spend that kind of cash? Why not make one yourself like forum user Asphalt_Gundam did?
All that’s needed is "a Longacre wheel plate, dial indicator and JUNK laying around the garage." In total, the homemade bumpsteer gauge cost only about $125 to assemble.

He's got different junk in his garage then I do. Need to figure out how to make a bumpsteer gauge from a broken shovel, old lawn mower, and a tile cutting saw
