Video: Are Dogs the Greatest Co-Pilots?

https://www.youtube.com/embed/hD6QoYZv7wA

It’s easy to make a case for dogs being one of the greatest things on this planet, and most seem to enjoy going for a drive just as much as we do.

What’s your favorite memory involving a car and a dog?

My black lab used to love taking rides in the 2015 STI and 2016 WRX I had. Not sure what Subaru did but she hates the E36 M3 and only marginally cars for the S2000 because of the drop top. She also loves the Crosstrek trunk. It's like her home away from home.

My husky loves to ride in the car, but he seems a little too keen on jumping out, so it's only cracked windows for him.

One of my favorite pictures is from when my alternator crapped out in the middle of BFE Florida.  While changing the alternator Luna, aged about 2-3 months, stood on the window and watched the whole process.

She's loved the truck ever since.

Our golden doodle loves to be on the go rather it be in the car, boat or motorhome. Same thing all you have to do is say "you want to go".

There is one question I have never been able to answer.

Why is it that a dog will stick it's head out of the window into the jetstream at serious speeds without apparent discomfort, but if you blow in their ear while sitting in a quiet room, they go apeE36 M3....?

Man, my '03 Z4's brights perform nowhere near as well as what I see there! And the T&C's are miserable. I had an '04 Accord that was even worse. Is that how S2000's come stock or am I looking at some upgrades there?

Back in the 70s when I was in high school, our Old English Sheep Dog loved to ride with me in my MGB. He'd bark and bark until I put the top down and we started rolling. I think he liked it because the wind blew the fur away from his eyes so he could see.

Our yellow Lab we lost recently loved to ride in anything with wheels. I never drove her in the Miata because cloth seats and dog that sheds about 3 normal dogs worth of fur every day don't mix.

"Do you wanna go for a ride" is music to my sweet Luna's ears. The Miata is the answer for her too :)
