Three years later, does the 2025 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 still hold up as a go-to track machine?

Grassroots Motorsports Tech Editor J.G. Pasterjak took one to our official test track, the Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park, to find out.

Irregardless of how you feel about the C8, my YouTube d-bag thumbnail poses have been on point lately.

Why wouldn't it?  Once a good/great track car, always a good/great track car, correct?  I'm sure one can't let decades go by and expect technology for the $$$ not to create better machines, but let's look at the current landscape of daily drivers, where these "track" machines generally start out.  They're not going to come from SUV's which are our culture has embraced in large numbers, so that only leaves a select few to choose from, unless you're looking at European stock...they still make cars.  Japan and Korea have some good candidates also.  But outside of a Corvette or a Mustang what's left from American manufacturers?  Anything else, and the physics really get in the way.
