Filipe Albuquerque once outran Sebastian Vettel. And since then, Albuquerque has found success in motorsports around the world, from DTM sedans to prototypes.
At the Roar Before the Rolex 24 we talked with Albuquerque, now one of the drivers of the Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi–one of the top cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. We learned what it’s like to drive one of these extreme machines, how these cars compare to those that we drive on the street, and how someone can progress from karts to pro racing.
