Maserati built 125 examples of its Ghibli Spyder. Of those, only 35 came with the 4.9-liter engine and a manual gearbox. What’s even rarer? One built to European specifications: the Italian automaker only constructed 15 of those.

The 4.9-liter V8 was rated for 330 horsepower. The car’s top speed of 174 mph made the Maserati SS the fastest car at the time for the manufacturer. The manual transmission is a five-speed ZF.

This example retains its original power plant. It has had the same owner since 1987.

Find this 1971 Maserati Ghibli SS 4900 Spyder up for auction at Artcurial, with an estimated winning bid of €600,000-€800,000 (approximately $655,140-$873,520).
