How to best sum up Citroën’s foray into Group B rally? A day late and a dollar short.
Thanks to several delays during its development, the BX 4TC wasn’t ready to compete until 1986–just in time for Group B to get disbanded.
Per the rulebook, 200 examples of the BX 4TC were built, though less than 90 were bought. The cars that went unsold were destroyed.
Today, as few as 30 examples are believed to have survived, with this one likely being one of the most original–so original in fact, that the car was not registered by its first owner.
Billed as totally original and never modified, the Citroën currently has an odometer reading of just 2865 kilometers, or about 1780 miles.
Find this 1986 Citroën BX 4 TC for auction from Aguttes with an estimated value of 100,000-150,000 Euros, or approximately $108,789-$163,168.
