What sort of car would a multiple land-speed record-setter drive? This Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane, apparently.
Sir Malcolm Campbell, who set several speed records on both land and on water, bought this Armstrong Siddeley in 1946.
Campbell had the car painted blue from the factory–to match his record-setting cars and boats, of course–and used it regularly up until his death in 1948.
Since then, the car has changed hands multiple times, and, most recently, was restored to its current condition in 2011.
Find this 1946 Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane for auction from Charterhouse, with an estimated value of £10,000-£15,000, or approximately $13,400-$20,100.
