Five World Series rings. Two Silver Sluggers. One Hall of Fame plaque. And this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette. These are all items that were, at least at one point, owned by baseball legend Reggie Jackson, aka “Mr. October.”

Jackson is an avid collector of American muscle cars, and this Corvette caught his attention. It’s presented in its factory colors of Marlboro Red over black vinyl trim.

In 2012, the Corvette won the National Corvette Restorers Society Top Flight Award at a St. Louis chapter show.

Find this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1 Coupe for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $60,000-$70,000.

It's a survivor, in more ways than one.  I don't remember the exact year, I was still in high school, but Reggie Jackson's warehouse in Chatsworth CA burned down, destroying most if not all of his car collection.  The bizarre things and trivia that burn into your brain...
