Nick Mason is the likely previous owner of this car. He is an original founding member of Pink Floyd. He is very well known among classic car afficionados (especially in England) and his private collection is among the finest in the world...

This M1 isn’t just another brick in the wall, though a Pink Floyd founding member did own the BMW.
Which one? While the seller offers few details aside from noting the car was bought in a “private transaction,” but previous ownership by any Pink Floyd member certainly adds value.
The desirability doesn’t end there, however, as the M1 is billed as one of only 59 examples finished in blue and currently shows just 15,600 kilometers, or about 9700 miles, from new.
Find this 1980 BMW M1 listed for sale from Animoya Garage with an asking price of $785,000.

That very well could be the case as well. The seller of the car only mentioned that the current owner acquired the M1 "directly from the Pink Floyd founding member in a private transaction."
At any rate, previous ownership by any of the Pink Floyd founders is way cool, and I hope this M1 goes to a good home.
