What constitutes new? Artcurial proclaims this is the “last chance to buy a new Z8.” It only has 30km, roughly 19 miles. However, it is 24 years old.
Why didn’t it get driven more? An Ethiopian businessman who became a Saudi Arabian citizen bought it new. He was ranked one of the top 50 richest people in the world. While living between London and Saudi Arabia, he bought the Z8 to serve as his leisure car when visiting Switzerland. However, his schedule never allowed him the chance to drive it.
In 2017, a collector bought it at auction. Then, they sold the BMW to its current owner in 2021. Artcurial says, “It was carefully stored throughout its life and the interior appears to have never been used.”
