A lot happens in 91 years. The good news: the history for this Fiat 508 S Berlinetta Aerodinamica is known since new–and well documented. Even better news? It still wears its original body, one of just an estimated 15 survivors. The Fiat even retains much of the original wooden structure supporting that body.
While the engine may not be original, Artcurial says it’s “clearly been in the car for a long time.” Repairs have clearly been made to the power plant. The cylinder head appears to be newer, though, and earlier versions were prone to failure.
In 1977, the Fiat participated in the first-ever historic Mille Miglia. That makes it eligible for today’s Mille Miglia, too. Over the course of its history, the Fiat has never been taken off the road.
Find this 1934 Fiat 508 S Mille Miglia Berlinetta Aerodinamica for auction at Artcurial, with an estimated value of €185,000-€220,000 (approximately $190,000-$230,000).
