How much for a Mustang Cobra R? Budget about $19,000 to $92,000, says Hagerty, depending on condition.

But what about one with a winning race history–how much more would you be willing to spend? $1000 more? $10,000 more? The seller of this Mustang Cobra R is asking $1.2 million.

As the listing states, Shreiner/Frederick Motorsports campaigned this Cobra R to a first-in-class finish in the 2001 Grand-Am Cup race at Daytona plus the 2002 Grand-Am Cup GSII Driver, Team, and Manufacturer Championships.

There are a lot of other cars you can buy for that money, aren't there?

As of today (Dec. 15) I see that this car is still on the market, who would have thought ?

In reply to 300zxfreak :

I can't say I'm totally shocked either.

Perhaps if it had a legendary driver behind the wheel or had competed and won in Rolex Sports Car Series, then maybe the price tag would be more fitting.
