If you’re looking for a Maserati to display at a concours, you might want to consider this 1966 Maserati Mistral Spyder fitted with a 3.7-liter inline six. The company built only 46 Mistral Spyders with that engine, and this is one of them.
Maserati displayed this example at the 1966 Valencia Motor Show in Spain. It sported the same stunning color combination you see today, Oro Longchamps over a Red leather interior.
This Mistral retains its matching-numbers engine. It was displayed at The Amelia in 2017 and placed second in its class. The car’s provenance allegedly includes Antonio Cabrini, a soccer player in the Italian Football Hall of Fame and a member of the 1982 FIFA World Cup-winning team for Italy.
Find this 1966 Maserati Mistral 3.7 Spyder up for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated winning bid of $430,000-$475,000.
