Sure, you could get any number of Austin-Healeys, Jaguars or Aston Martins to fulfill that need of owning an iconic British classic, but what if you want to stand out from the pack in something you likely won’t see anywhere else on the road? Let me introduce you to the 1947 HRG 1500 Aerodynamic.
Never heard of HRG? Blame the fact that of the only 12 examples believed to still exist, this one is said to be one of only two to be delivered to North America.
In addition to that rarity, the HRG also participated in a handful SCCA road racing events in the early 1950s.
Currently sporting an older restoration, the 1500 Aerodynamic runs and drives, though it could benefit from a more thorough mechanical sorting.
