The Maserati 3500 GT was the first successful attempt for the Italian automaker to mass-produce cars for the road-faring crowd, with this particular example displayed at the 1962 Paris Motor Show.

At the end of the 1960s, the car entered storage, not to resurface again until 2010. A German Maserati specialist then took ownership of the vehicle.

From 2014 to 2020, the 3500 underwent a thorough restoration, with attention to retaining the original components. One item of note, though: The standard Lucas injection system, while present, has been replaced by carburetors.

Find this 1962 Maserati 3500 GTI up for auction at Dorotheum, with an estimated winning bid of €220,000-€270,000 (about $232,000-$285,000 USD).
