Not sure what you’re looking at? Not to worry, we can explain.

Bob Sutherland, creator of the Maxton Rollerskate, envisioned adding an aluminum-bodied coupe with gullwing doors to the lineup, which he called the Maxton GT.

Spydersports made a chassis in England that was then fitted with the powertrain from a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth–including the engine, gearbox, rear end, clutch–as well as the Ford's brakes.

The body? Well, that part never seemed to have happened, bringing us back to this very car: This is the one-off creation intended to be the first Maxton GT.

Good for nearly 300 horsepower, the seller says that the car does run and drive. Disc brakes are on all four corners, and the suspension features a Spydersports adjustable suspension originally designed for use in the Lotus Elan.
