Rarer than a D-type Jaguar? | Lister-Jaguar sports racer for sale

Just because Jaguar ended production of the D-type in the late ‘50s didn’t mean that there was little demand for the car–hence the existence of this Lister sports racer.

Noted to be one of only 17 examples ever built, this Lister is powered by a 340-horsepower engine mated to a “comfortable” five-speed transmission.

Carrying both FIA approval and a Heritage Sticker–given for retaining the stock block–the seller notes the car is valued lower than the other 16 examples due to “a lack of any racing heritage.”

Find this 1958 Lister-Jaguar sports racer for sale from Classic Auto Mall for $640,000.

You can easily see why Listers were nicknamed "knobbly."smiley
