Japanese tuning house Tommykaira (think of it as a Japanese version of a company like Ruf) applied their masterful touch to just 35 Nissan Skyline R34-chassis GT-Rs–and this is one of them.
Tommykaira upped the power of the 2.6-liter, twin-turbo Nissan inline-six to over 430 horsepower thanks to a larger turbocharger and a remapped ECU plus an uprated stainless steel exhaust, radiator, intercooler and air filters.
The upgrades aren't just limited to the engine, as the R34 also been improved with Bilstein shocks, lowering springs, upgraded front tension rods, a strut brace and a twin-plate clutch.
There are also cosmetic improvements, including “an exclusive mesh grille, front bumper, front spoiler, side skirts, rear bumper, rear valance and diffusers, as well as an adjustable alloy GT wing and more Tommykaira emblems than you can shake a stick at.”
Find this 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec Tommykaira R-S up for auction from Silverstone Auctions, with an estimated winning bid of £130,000-£150,000 ($160,000-$185,000 USD).
