What’s that color, you may be wondering, when it comes to this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster? It’s called Sonderlackierung DB 218 Linden Green, and this is just one of four Roadsters that came with it. That makes this vehicle rare, and it has not been offered to the public since 1969.
What makes this example even more special is that it has its matching-numbers engine, chassis and body. It is also equipped with several factory performance options, including Mahle 9.5:1 high-compression pistons, 4.11:1 differential gearing, competition sport suspension, ventilation brake scoops and Ansa performance exhaust.
This 300 SL comes fitted with period-correct rally equipment, too, which includes a Halda Speed Pilot, Heuer Monte-Carlo chronograph, Heuer Super Autavia chronograph, navigator-mounted horn control, and Helphos spotlight.
Find this 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster for auction at Broad Arrow Auctions, with an estimated value of $2,000,000-$2,500,0000.
